I have an amazingly awesome question that needs answering.
If you could choose any books to put in your library, which would you choose?
This question is important because the Director wants to order Young Adult books. And, of course, I have so many lists of books that I could give him to order. But I want a second opinion, and since everyone who reads my blog is a bookish person, I figure I might as well ask.
And we shall see if I get any responses... trust me, though, it's worth it to respond =P

Tell the Director to get anything and everything. The more the merrier!
Seriously though, I would suggest getting anything by:
Elizabeth Scott
David Levithan
Scott Westerfeld
Justine Larbalestier
Maureen Johnson
Juliet Marillier
Alyson Noel
E. Lockhart
And books:
She's So Money- Cherry Chava
Pretty Little Liars series- Sara Shephard
Tantalize- Cynthia Leitich Smith.
That's all I can think of now, although there's loads more. Hope that helped. xD
I say pick a variety of books that will appeal to many. Here are some of my choices:
Evolution, Me, and Other Freaks of Nature - Robin Brande
Hero - Perry Moore
The Chocolate War - Robert Cormier
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
The Highest Tide - Jim Lynch
Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie - David Lubar
King Dork - Frank Portman
Looking for Alaska - John Green
Crash - Jerry Spinelli
Full Service - Will Weaver
Deff. get Undone by brooke taylor and the elite by Jennifer banash. those are awesome books.
All Sarah Dessen books, obviously, Chelsie. lol. Debbie Reed Fischer. Sarra Manning. The Liz Craft and Sarah Fain books. Megan McCafferty. Jen Calonita. Sara Zarr. Gabrielle Zevin. Deb Caletti.
That's so funny, Khyrinthia! You mentioned the Pretty Little Liars books and last year I had the Director (a different Director at that time) to get them... so I found it funny you mentioned them =P
I think the most important thing, as TowerofBooks mentioned, is to pick a variety so everybody can have some choices. Some of my favorite YA (and crossover YA) books are:
*Anything by Cynthia Voigt (examples include the Tillerman series starting with Homecoming and the Kingdom series starting with Jackaroo).
*Burning Up by Caroline B. Cooney
*The View from Saturday and From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg
*To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
*The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
*The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster
*Burning Up by Caroline B. Cooney
Sarah Dessen
Elizabeth Scott
Sara Shepherd
Kate Brian
Confessions of a Triple Shot Betty - Jody Grehem
She's So Money - Cherry Cheva
Bewitching Season - Marissa Doyle
Frenemies - Alexa Young
The Elite - Jennifer Banash
The Latent Powers of Dylan Fontaine - April Lurie.
That's just what i can see sitting on my shelf right now that i've read. :p
